FAQ

I have started to find that a lot of people are asking me similar questions and the last time I updated this page was a few months after I started blogging and I wasn't really posting much but I want to try and keep this updated every couple of months so that it stays up to date and the content is not too old. These are just generic questions that I get asked on a regular basis and it is easier for me to answer them on here.

How did you get into blogging?
I got into blogging in February of 2015, and I actually wanted to start a blog after reading a post by Fleur De Force. I didn't really know much about blogs until a couple of years ago and I had no clue that I would be able to set up one of my own let alone have people from all across the world read my blog which is incredible. I was starting to realise that I wanted something else to do while I was at University and I thought that starting a blog would be something that I could keep up to date on a regular basis and it is completely different to what I study. So one night I decided to do some research on how to set up a blog and I found it really easy. I am still updating the blog to this day and redesigning it at the moment even though I have been doing this for almost a year. I really want to pursue a career outside my blog but still carry on with writing on a regular basis in the near future.

What do I study at University?
I study Law at University, which is completely different to everything I write about on this blog. But I have studied fashion for 7 years at High School and was even asked to study fashion at University. Fashion designing was recommended to me by my teacher after I got the highest grade in my class but I decided against going into fashion and so something I was really passionate about and now I get to write about my love for fashion on this blog.

How did you come up with the name of your blog?
I really struggled to come up with a name for this blog, and I remember spending a week looking at other blogs and seeing what they were called. I even remember looking at websites that gave examples of names that could be used for blogs but nothing seemed to fit. I knew that I wanted to end my blog with "Love Vicki" and then I decided why not name my blog "Love Vicki Louise" as that is how I end all of my blog posts. Vicki Louise is not my full name as Louise is my middle name but I wanted to add my middle name to the name of the blog.

Will you every get into YouTube?
This is probably the most asked question and I haven't really decided. When I first answered this question I said yes and I created an account ready for when I decided to get into YouTube. Now the answer is I'm not sure if I will or not. I think I want to stick with my blog for the time being as it is less pressure and not as time-consuming as having to edit videos on a regular basis but who knows in the future I may decide to get into YouTube.

What social media do you have?
I get asked this question so much, so I have decided that at the end of every blog post to include links to some of my main social media accounts, including Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. At the moment, I am mainly on Twitter but will be using Instagram and Facebook more over the next couple of months once University starts to wind up as I don't think posting pictures of the University library is going to be very exciting for you all, as that is where I am spending most of my time. Here are the links to my Twitter, Facebook and Instagram:

Do you buy all of the products you review?
Unless my blog post is marked with an "* Sponsored Post" then I will have purchased the products that I am reviewing. If I have been gifted or sent a product from a company to review then I will of course tell all of you that this is the case. But most times I will have purchased the goods myself, especially as I have only been writing this blog for just under a year.

Is it easy to maintain a blog?
When I started thinking about writing a blog, I wasn't sure how easy it was going to be as some of my friends started blogs while at High School when the likes of blogs by Zoella and Tanya Burr were taking off and everyone wanted to jump on the bandwagon of starting a blog. Almost all of my friends have given up on their blogs. So I knew it wasn't going to be easy to maintain and every now and again I will be late in uploading blog posts but it will be for a certain reason and I will always try to upload as soon as I get the chance. At the moment, the longest part of maintaining the blog is just constantly updating the content and making sure that everything is correct. But I love writing this blog and I love writing new blog posts and getting the chance to go shopping on a regular basis.
