I really liked the idea of this TAG and I was tagged to do it by my friend Jess and I thought I would give it a go because the other TAGs that I have done so far have been on fashion, beauty and travelling whereas this one is all about my favourite things including my favourite pieces of clothing, beauty items, brands, sports and accessories. I just thought this TAG sounded really sweet and I thought it would be interesting to see what my answers would be because I have never really thought about it before.
1. What is your favourite piece of fashion in your wardrobe?
I recently purchased a faux suede biker jacket from River Island last month and this is the piece of clothing that I have worn almost every single day. What I love the most about this jacket is the colour and the style of it. It is a tan colour although I think it said that it was a rust brown colour. This was included in my February Favourites 2016 if you want to see what it looks like. The zip detailing makes it look a bit more interesting than just other suede jackets I have seen in other high street stores and it was only £60 which I think is fairly reasonable. Plus it goes with everything and I have had so many compliments when I have worn it and it looks like it could be from a designer brand rather than just from a high street store. This jacket also comes in brighter colours and I was tempted to get it in coral but I thought that the coral one would not go with as much and that is why I went for the tan/taupe colour instead.
2. If you could only wear one makeup product for the rest of your life what would it be?
It is really difficult for me to choose only one makeup product to wear for the rest of my life because I will wear makeup almost every day unless I am not going out anywhere. Although I am ok going out with no makeup on as well. However, if I had to choose just one product to use it would have to be mascara. I find that if I don't wear mascara my eyes look slightly smaller and I find that I can usually get away with not wearing foundation if I have removed my makeup properly the night before.
3. What is your favourite fragrance?
One of my all-time favourite perfumes is from the brand Chloe. I think it is the original one and I am not sure if it actually has a name or not but it is one that I wear almost all the time. However, one of my new favourites has got to be Decadence by Marc Jacobs which just smells amazing and it lasts for ages as well.
4. What is your favourite accessory?
My favourite accessory has to be my pastel pink handbag from Kate Spade. This is the only handbag that I have used since I got it last Summer and I am still loving it. The only problem is that it has gotten very dirty so I need to get it cleaned. This was fairly expensive but I had saved all the money I had got from my family for my birthday last year. This bag is so good for carrying all my heavy law books at University and it also looks amazing as well but I wish I had gotten it in a darker colour so I wouldn't have to worry about it getting dirty although the pastel colours are perfect for Spring.
5. What designer item would you love to own in the future?
There are only really two particular items that I can really think about wanting to own in the future. I am not always about the designer brands and I am just as happy to shop at Primark as I am to go into a designer store and buy something expensive. The two items that I would love to own and I am saving up for is a pair of high heels from Christian Louboutin and the Willow Tote from Mulberry. I really want to save for these pieces myself because it would feel like an achievement if I could prove that I could save up for these pieces even if it takes me 10 years to save which it probably will. However, most of my wardrobe is from high street stores but I do really like designer accessories like handbags, scarves and shoes. I find that they can make a cheaper outfit from Primark which might only cost £20 look even more expensive.
6.What are your favourite sports to watch?
There are six sports that I like to watch in particular. Those are Formula 1, snooker, tennis, rugby union, swimming and golf.
7. Who are your favourite athletes?
I really only have a few athletes that I support from a few sports that I mentioned. I don't really support anyone in golf or in swimming but I just really like to watch. I thought it would be easier to list them below next to each sport with their nationality:
Formula 1: Sebastian Vettel (German) & Jenson Button (British)
Tennis: Andy Murray (British/Scottish)
Rugby Union: Scotland & England Rugby Teams, plus my favourite individual rugby player is Greig Laidlaw (Scottish) who plays for Scotland
Snooker: Judd Trump (British)
8. What is your favourite TV show?
There are a few shows that I am absolutely obsessed with at the moment. They are Pretty Little Liars, Dexter, New Girl, Melissa & Joey and Once Upon A Time. I have been watching these all the time recently and they are all different genres which I like so they are not all comedies and they are not all thrillers etc. I am also loving The Big Bang Theory and The Great British Bake Off but one of my all-time favourite shows is Gavin & Stacey.
9. What is your favourite film?
My favourite film is any action film, like Bourne, James Bond and Die Hard. I'm not a massive fan of Romantic Comedies although I will watch them if there is nothing else on.
10. What is your favourite colour?
At the moment my favourite colour is duck egg blue (which is also the same colour as my bedroom back home). I also love mint green as well. At the moment I am also loving any homeware that is rose gold and there seems to be a lot of that around which I just keep buying even if I don't need it. I think rose gold or copper is really on trend at the moment and looks amazing.
11. Which store do you buy too much from?
Definitely Primark! I could probably open my own Primark store from my bedroom.
12. Who is your favourite artist(s) at the moment?
At the moment Justin Bieber's new songs, like Love Yourself and What Do You Mean are my favourite and I have also been listening to Zayn Malik's Pillowtalk on repeat as well.
13. Who is your favourite handbag designer?
I have two favourite handbag designers, which are Mulberry and Kate Spade. Kate Spade is a lot cheaper than the Mulberry bags but they both design and create stunning bags.
14. So you prefer Spring/Summer clothing or Autumn/Winter clothing?
I definitely prefer Autumn/Winter clothing as I do prefer to wear darker colours rather than bright colours. Also I love wearing long coats and jumpers and being able to layer up which is one of my favourite things to do.
15. What do you prefer skirts or dresses?
I think when I first started writing this blog I would definitely say dresses but lately I have been buying more skirts recently because you can do a lot more with a skirt than a dress because you can obviously change the top that you wear with the skirt and create a whole new look. I think over the last two months I have bought over ten skirts and I have been wearing them a lot more recently rather than dresses. Although the skirts I have purchased are more Winter skirts and in the Summer I will be wearing more dresses than skirts.
16. What place would you love to travel to in the future?
I would love to go to New York at Christmas so I can go ice skating and so I can go Christmas shopping because it always looks stunning at that time of year.
17. What is your favourite song?
At the moment it is a choice between Love Yourself by Justin Bieber and Hello by Adele. I love both of them and think they are incredible songs and they are the ones I find singing to myself when I'm writing my blog and I am on my own.
18. Who is your favourite watch designer?
Hands down it has to be Michael Kors! I have been obsessed with the rose gold watches from Michael Kors for years now. I was going to save up for one when I was at University but I have asked for one for my 21st birthday present and a joint graduation present. These are really the only watches that I like and suit me because I don't often like wearing watches but when I have tried the Michael Kors' watches on before it didn't feel uncomfortable.
19. Who is your favourite shoe designer?
Obviously the most iconic shoe designer is Christian Louboutin, but I am not really fussed about shoe designers and I am just as happy to wear shoes from Primark which is where most of my shoes are actually from anyway.
20. Who inspires you?
This is probably one of the easiest answers I have given and the person who inspires me the most is my amazing Mum. I know everyone says they have the best Mum in the world but I know that I have such an incredible Mum and I wouldn't want anyone else to be my Mum and she has always been there for me even when I was panicking about going to University. I owe everything to both of my parents but my Mum in particular.
I hope you all enjoyed learning a bit more about some of my favourite things. I TAG all of you to have a go at this TAG as well and I would love to hear from you in the comments!!
