As you will be aware I love to bake and this is especially the case at Christmas. I have always loved the baking goods in a jar and I wanted to show my hot chocolate in a jar. Nearer to Christmas I actually want to write a blog post showing you how to create five different hot chocolates in a jar with different flavours that I love. But for the moment I want to keep it simple and just show you my basic hot chocolate in a jar which is so pretty and anyone would love to see it under there tree.
4 (8-ounce) jars
250g Cocoa Powder
200g Sugar
4tsp Ground Cinnamon
Mini marshmallows
Method ...
In each jar, layer 50g of sugar, followed by approximately 65g of cocoa powder. Then add 1 tsp of ground cinnamon to the mixture and then fill the jar up with mini marshmallows. Repeat with the remaining jars and then screw the lids back on the jars. Place a pretty Christmas ribbon round the jar and place a tag on the jar with the following instructions:
To Serve: Remove the marshmallows and place to the side. Stir together all the ingredients in the jar. Bring 200ml of milk to a saucepan and simmer over a low heat. Add three tablespoons of the mixture into the milk and stir until well mixed. Then serve in a mug and add whipped cream and marshmallows to finish.
