MY FAVOURITE NO7 PRODUCTS

I have three products that I am obsessed with and they are from the brand No7. I went into Boots the other day (I promise I am not sponsored by Boots) and I usually just buy everyday makeup from Maybelline or Rimmel but I wanted to look for some products that I could get for my Mum as a Christmas present from my Dad. I only wanted to get her a few products and I wanted to get her some more expensive items. It was so hectic in Boots as it was the day before Black Friday and there were so many deals in the store, but I managed to look at some of the new No7 products and I wanted to try them out myself and I got my Mum the same products and I am in love with them and I know my Mum will be as well. Also, because I had purchased two No7 products I got a free No7 gift set for Christmas which I will put in my Mum's present as well.

JOULES "READY FOR THE WEEKEND" GIFT SET

I love the gift sets that Boots have in stock over the Christmas period, and I always buy quite a few for my family members and I sometimes buy myself a gift set but this year I got told not to buy anything for me because my family don't want me to buy gift sets that they have got me, plus I know I have asked for a couple of sets and I don't know whether they have got those for me or not.

I think Boots is one of the best stores for Christmas gift sets and from around the middle of November each week they will have a gift set which is roughly £45 and they will have it reduced to £22.50. This can vary though and I know there have been gift sets which were originally £60 and reduced to £30. These are known as there star gifts and I love these because you get great quality gifts at a reasonable price. At the moment it is the Sanctuary gift set (priced at £22.50) which I was going to get for my Mum but the problem with Sanctuary is my Mum only likes a few of the products so it's actually better if I buy them separately for her instead. But they actually have another gift set on offer this week which I did buy her. This is the Joules "Ready for the Weekend" bag which was reduced from £45 to £22.50.

HOMEMADE PEPPERMINT BODY SCRUB

So this post was meant to go up on Thursday but the almond and peppermint oil had not been delivered until my neighbour came round this afternoon and told me that the parcel had been delivered to his flat instead of mine. So I made this straight away for you all. I said last week that I was now going to stay away from baking goods for my homemade Christmas gift guide and I am doing that with this post. I love giving beauty products at Christmas to my friends and family members and I love making my homemade peppermint body scrub for them. It is so easy and you only need three ingredients and you can make a batch load of them in no time at all. This scrub just reminds me of Christmas and candy canes and it really does work well as a scrub and everyone can't believe that it is not from a shop.

LUSH GIFT SETS

Hey everyone,
I haven't been able to do another post on my homemade Christmas gift guide because I had to order a few items and they have not arrived yet so I will hopefully get it by Monday or even sooner, but I will let you all know as soon as my order arrives. But I wanted to make sure that I still had a post for you all and I was in Lush today and I could have purchased everything in there. It was so busy in my local Lush store and I could not cope and there was a couple buying everything in there but I wanted to look specifically at the gift sets that they were offering this year, and I was so impressed. I only got one gift set to try and show you, but there are so many and I like the fact that they have a gift set for every price range.

COOKIES IN A JAR

I love baking and this will probably be the last baking gift for a while, although I will nearer to Christmas write posts on how to make other items either on Wednesdays or Sundays. But I wanted to end it with one of my favourite gifts to give at Christmas and I know there are so many recipes on this and I believe there are other bloggers who have also come up with this idea but I want to show you how to make cookies in a jar. These are so cheap to make and you can make loads for people at work or for friends or to just put in someone's stocking. I always have to include the mixture to make my triple chocolate chip cookies, which have dark, milk and white chocolate chips in them and they are just incredible.

MAYBELLINE LASH SENSATION LASH MULTIPLYING MASCARA

I have heard a lot of mixed reviews about this product, and some people love it and some hate it. I am actually really loving this mascara and I usually buy Rimmel mascaras as my drugstore favourite but I saw a couple of bloggers review this and said it was amazing so I wanted to try it for myself.

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER TRUFFLES

These chocolate peanut butter truffles are so easy to make and you can make them in batches well in advance of Christmas and will impress all of your friends and family. I always make these at Christmas and I give them to my friends as another present to go with their main gift, but these would work well for the people you work with or to give to your friends. I make these for my Mum's work friends all the time and they always love them and I want to share this recipe with you as well. I always make roughly 20 from this batch but I make larger truffles so you could actually make more. I always have 10 truffles covered in milk chocolate and then 10 covered in dark chocolate but obviously you can choose whatever chocolate you prefer!

L'OREAL LA PALETTE NUDE REVIEW

I recently purchased the L'Oreal Paris La Palette Nude last week. I have so many palettes and I don't really need anymore but my friends have been obsessed with this palette and told me that I should definitely add it to my collection. I have been wanting to try it out and I am going home for my Mum's birthday this weekend and I wanted to have a smaller palette so I could fit it in my bag and it wouldn't take up too much room. It is still quite bulky but it isn't too big and I could easily fit it in my clutch bag when we go out for dinner. I think it looks amazing and I love the gold on the black case. The one thing I don't like is that it looks like it is still open when its closed so I almost freaked out thinking that the eyeshadows were going to go everywhere in my bag until I realised that it was definitely closed. I've also found that when you shut it, it doesn't click so you're also not sure whether the palette is actually shut or not. One thing that I love is the fact that the mirror is a reasonable size and is quite handy because I never carry a mirror with me so it is quite handy.
