HOMEMADE PEPPERMINT BODY SCRUB

So this post was meant to go up on Thursday but the almond and peppermint oil had not been delivered until my neighbour came round this afternoon and told me that the parcel had been delivered to his flat instead of mine. So I made this straight away for you all. I said last week that I was now going to stay away from baking goods for my homemade Christmas gift guide and I am doing that with this post. I love giving beauty products at Christmas to my friends and family members and I love making my homemade peppermint body scrub for them. It is so easy and you only need three ingredients and you can make a batch load of them in no time at all. This scrub just reminds me of Christmas and candy canes and it really does work well as a scrub and everyone can't believe that it is not from a shop.

You will need ...

1 medium sized jar

500g Granulated Golden or Brown Sugar

2 tsp Peppermint Essential Oil

50ml Almond Oil
This is so easy to make and will only take you a few minutes and it will smell amazing and make your room smell like Christmas. First you need to put your granulated sugar into a bowl and then add your peppermint oil and your almond oil and mix together. And then you place it in individual jars, wrap a ribbon round it and then add a gift tag. It is so simple to make but really does look like you have gone to so much effort.

The sugar works as the scrub and the almond oil acts as a moisturiser. I'm not sure where you buy almond oil and I don't think every supermarket stocks it but I got mine online and it was really easy to find. Also the peppermint oil just makes it smell amazing and I love the smell of mint especially at this time of year.
This gift is perfect for anyone who doesn't have much time to make things at Christmas but they want to make something homemade for friends and family members and the best thing is you can make loads of small jars out of this recipe as well rather than using medium sized jars.

I hope you guys like this very quick homemade gift idea and try it out because it is incredible, also you don't have to use peppermint oil and you could add any particular extract that you like the smell off, and if you want you could also add a couple of drops of food colouring to change the colour of the sugar.
