I am going to be writing a blog post on the last day of every month with my monthly favourites. This month I have mainly focused on my favourite beauty products, but in the future it might include fashion, hair products, skincare, beauty, foods etc. I wanted to do this in January but I had so much going on that I could not find the time. Everything in this month's favourites is still available to purchase but one of the items was purchased in the sale so may not be on the website for much longer. These are obviously just a few of my favourites and in the future there may only be 5 favourites and sometimes there may be 15 favourite products.
One of the only pieces of clothing in my February Favourites is my fairly new jacket from River Island. I haven't had this jacket for the whole of February and have had it for just over a week but I wanted to include it because it is already my favourite. This jacket is the Faux Suede Biker Jacket which is £60. I really wanted a faux suede jacket and I fell in love with this one when I saw it in store. It is such amazing quality and I really love the fact that there is zips around the tops of the sleeves which just make it different from other jackets on the market. I find that this jacket goes with so much and is definitely on trend at the moment. This jacket also comes in a variety of colours, from rust brown, light grey, coral to green. I believe that this jacket comes in 6 different colours overall. I went for the tan jacket which I believe is called rust brown. I just liked the fact that this shade would go with more of the clothes that I already have. I have worn this jacket so much already and I will be wearing this so much in the Spring months.
Another River Island product that has made it into my February Favourites is a pair of knee high boots that I got in the sale. These are the Taupe Brown Over The Knee Fringed Boots. I have always been fussy with boots, especially when they are over the knee, because sometimes they can look really horrible. But that is not the case with these boots and I love the colour and the style of these boots. These were an impulse purchase and I am loving them so much. I just saw them and thought the looked amazing and really unusual and I just had to have them. I really liked the fringing, however it can be slightly annoying when I walk and I see the fringing going everywhere, but I still love them all the same. These were such a bargain and were reduced from £90 to £20. I love these and have worn them quite a bit since I got them and I think I will be able to wear them leading into the Spring and Summer months as well even though they are over the knee boots.
One of my favourite high-end beauty products is the Urban Decay Limited Edition Gwen Stefani Blush Palette. I got this as soon as it hit the counters at the beginning of February and I have used it every single day. I love the fact that I can take this palette with me when I travel because it has two blushers, a highlighter and three bronzers, so I can take this palette instead of taking three individual products. Also all the shades suit my skin tone in particular and I love the shades that have been chosen so they will suit most skin tones. The pigmentation is amazing and blends really well to give my skin a healthy glow. I have always hated contouring but now with this palette I love it and it is definitely worth the money. I think it is fairly inexpensive and only costs £35, which is pretty good seeing as though there are six shades in the palette and they are incredible. The packaging is beautiful and I will have to buy another palette before they stop making it as it is a limited edition product for Urban Decay.
For the month of February I have been loving the Soap and Glory Archery Brow Tint and Pencil. I have always struggled with making my eyebrows look good and since buying this pencil from Soap and Glory I have had no problems making them look relatively good. The double ended pencil has a felt tip end which is used to fill in the brows and on the other end is the pencil/crayon which is used to shape and make the eyebrows look fuller. I am absolutely in love with this product and has made my eyebrows look amazing since I have been using it. I would recommend this to everyone especially if you struggle with your eyebrows. I have never found a brow pencil that worked really well or was the right shade and now I can say that I have found one and I just hope Soap and Glory continue to make this product.
When the Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara was released, I was fairly sceptical about how good it could actually be. But I decided to buy it because it was on offer and I can honestly say that this is my new favourite mascara. I have fairly long eyelashes so I can't wear false lashes as it would look really obvious and they just don't look good on me. However, with this mascara I can get the effect of having false lashes on without having to go through all the hassle of trying to apply them. You only need a little product on your lashes to get the full effect otherwise it can start to clump together. I also wasn't sure how I would like the plastic wand but I haven't really seen a difference in how the mascara is applied to my lashes. This mascara is perfect if you don't like wearing false eyelashes or you are in a rush and want the effect of having false lashes on.
I wanted to include skincare product and one of my favourites for this month is the No7 Beautiful Skin Night Cream. I have been using the day cream for quite some time now and I wanted to buy the night cream to see if it made any difference to my skin and I have found that it definitely has. This makes my skin feel and looking amazing. My skin feels so soft and it does give my skin a healthy glow before putting my make up on. Sometimes, some high end skincare products have left my skin feeling greasy and horrible which was not the case with this night cream from No7. I have obviously used the day cream for some time now so I knew that my skin would be fine with the night cream. I would definitely recommend the No7 skincare products if you are looking for a good skincare product for a reasonable price.
My favourite perfume for February and I think for the rest of my life is the Marc Jacobs Decadence. I got this perfume at the beginning of the month and I fell in love with it as soon as I tried it on in the store. From the unique design of the bottle to the rich woody scent of the perfume, this is a must-have in my collection. Even though it is fairly expensive costing £69 for 50ml, it lasts so long and I have used hardly any of it even though I have been wearing it every single day for the last month. It is a strong scent so you do not have to spray too much and what I love the most about this perfume is the fact that it lasts so long and I can still smell it on my clothes at the end of the day. I think this product has also got to be my ultimate favourite for February as well.
