MY FAVOURITE LIP PRODUCTS

Every so often I go through a stage where I will rely on a few pieces of makeup the most and at the moment I am definitely doing that with lip products, whether it is lipsticks or a lip gloss. I have been relying on five at the moment (three are a lipstick and the other two are a lip gloss). They are all fairly affordable and what I would consider a drug store brand but there is a lipstick from the Gwen Stefani collaboration with Urban Decay that I am absolutely in love with. I have quite a few lip products in my makeup collection but these are the ones that I have been loving the most. They are all fairly neutral apart from one which is more or a berry red colour, but I will be doing another post soon of my favourite red lip products as well in case neutrals are not your favourite.

Urban Decay and Gwen Stefani Lipstick in Ex-Girlfriend

This is the only nude shade in the lipstick collection from the Gwen Stefani and Urban Decay Collaboration. This is the only lipstick that I have purchased from the collection at the moment because the rest are different shades of red which I already have quite a lot of. Plus I do wear neutral and nude shades the most. I actually really like this shade and it is perfect for my skin tone because sometimes the nude shades can be too pale and then I look like a ghost. The formulation is amazing as well. I already had a tester for this lipstick which was included in the packaging when I purchase the eyeshadow palette a couple of months ago. So I already knew what this shade would be like. The only thing is that when I got a really small sample of the lipstick it was more pink, but I still love this shade and it still looks amazing. This is £16 which is a lot of money especially for just one lipstick and if it wasn't the Gwen Stefani collection then I don't know if I would spend that much on a lipstick from Urban Decay. I think it is amazing but I know there are similar shades of lipstick that are a lot cheaper and work just as well. But the formulation and the shade of this lipstick is great especially if you want to spend a bit more money on a lip product, but I would probably go for the red shades rather than this one in the future. You can buy the lipstick collection from the Urban Decay Website here.

Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick in Mulberry

This is the only lip product which is not a neutral or nude shade. This is in the shade Mulberry and it is more of a berry red with a very slight shade of pink. I was really worried that it was going to be too dark for my skin tone but that definitely wasn't the case. These lipsticks are also so pigmented and you don't have too apply too much on your lips. Also you can layer up the product on your lips, so you can build up the shade that you want. This is amazing for moisturising your lips and I am in love with this collection and I will definitely be buying more of these lipsticks in the future in the other shades. It does create more of a matte finish and it lasts for hours, which is often hard to find in lipsticks. I have purchased lip products which have cost over £20 and I would definitely say that this lipstick is better than some of them. These are £7.99 from Boots and I think that is so cheap and is definitely just as good as some designer lip products. You can buy these lipsticks here.

Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick in Rosewood

This shade of lipstick is perfect if you don't want to buy the Urban Decay and Gwen Stefani lipstick in Ex-Girlfriend but you want a similar shade. This is slightly darker than the Urban Decay nude lipstick but it is still a really pretty shade and is a perfect nude lipstick. This is a lot more pigmented than the Urban Decay lipstick and the formulation is amazing and so moisturising. I have found that I don't need to apply a primer first when wearing this lipstick. Also, this lipstick lasts so long. I would recommend these lipsticks to everyone, especially if you want a cheaper alternative to some nude lipsticks which are being sold by designers. These are £7.99 and I think even though it is slightly more expensive than some cheaper drugstore brands, it is definitely worth the money. This lipstick can be purchased from the Boots Website, which can be found here.

L'Oréal Paris Infallible Mega Gloss in Protest Queen

This has got to be my favourite lip product out of all five of them and I have used it so much since buying it. These lip glosses have had mixed reviews but from my experience I am absolutely in love with them. This applies so well to my lips and stays on for so long and I find that I don't have to reapply the lip gloss as much throughout the day. Also I am in love with this shade as well. It is a neutral shade and doesn't have much colour to it but it is perfect if you want a subtle lip colour. Also I really like the application of it, which has not been everyone's favourite, but the cream ones seem to be more of a non-sticky formulation. I would definitely recommend this lip gloss in the shade Protest Queen and is perfect for an everyday look. This lip gloss is so easy to apply as well but I have also found that I don't have to apply too much of the product on my lips either. I will definitely be buying this in more shades, especially the brighter colours for Spring/Summer. This lip gloss is £6.99 which I think is fairly cheap especially if you don't want to spend too much money on a lip gloss. You can buy this lip gloss here.

L'Oréal Paris Infallible Mega Gloss in I Got The Power

This lip gloss is the same as the one that I got in Protest Queen but I also got it in the shade I Got The Power. I remember watching YouTuber mention this particular shade and I was surprised by how much darker it was because the YouTuber seemed to make it sound like it was a lot paler than it actually is. It is still a neutral shade and I am absolutely in love with it. It is a lot darker than Protest Queen but is perfect for an everyday look as well especially if you don't want something as pale as the other lip gloss. This is another cream formulation and I think these are perfect especially if you are not keen on wearing lipsticks or you don't want to buy a primer. I have not worn this as much as the lip gloss in Protest Queen but I am loving all of the neutral shades that L'Oréal are creating in this lip gloss collection and are perfect if you are not confident enough to wear bright shades. The applicator is also really good and it is so easy to apply the lip gloss and it has just the right amount of gloss but after a while it does become matte which also looks amazing. This lip gloss is £6.99 and there is often offers on these lip glosses at Boots which offer 3 for 2, so it is definitely a bargain when you wait for the offers. You can buy this lip gloss here.
