As you will be aware, for my blog, I am often buying new beauty products (whether drugstore or high-end) to review and include in these posts. Even though I have a whole collection of makeup, I often find myself stuck in a rut (or stuck in my comfort zone) when it comes to my everyday makeup look and I rarely mix it up. Therefore, with it being almost Summer, I thought it would be the perfect time to change up my look and add some new makeup products to my makeup bag.
All of these products are products that I have been using in the last couple of weeks, and a couple of them are products that I have been using for the last couple of months are my holy grail products. I have tried to mix it up by buying products that I have not bought before or I haven't used in ages, and I was really surprised with how much I loved the products. Also, I wanted to find a new concealer, that wasn't from Collection, NARS or Urban Decay and I really wanted to find new holy grail drugstore concealer. I have found a whole new load of products that I absolutely LOVE and I've also changed up my everyday makeup look as well.
Recently, I have been wearing the products in the photo above to create a natural and effortless bronzed look, which I have been loving and it perfect for Summer and when I go away on holiday. When I am just going for this look, I mainly use drugstore brands, which you will notice in this post, just because this is the look that I wear every day and I would rather just wear drugstore brands every day rather than wasting my more expensive high-end products. So, I'm going to tell you a bit about why I LOVE each product and how I have been using it everyday.
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation - I apply this first after my skincare routine, and it has become one of my favourite drugstore foundations. I love the coverage that it gives me and it blends so easily. It also doesn't settle into any fine lines or areas where I have dry skin, which is often quite difficult to find in a foundation. I usually apply my foundation with a brush and then I will blend it in with my BeautyBlender and it just gives a flawless finish, and I often don't have to wear concealer with this foundation.
Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer - Next I apply this concealer under my eyes and on any blemishes. Usually when I wear the foundation I don't have to worry about wearing concealer, but this is so good for under the eyes to make me look more awake. I just put some of this concealer under my eyes and will blend it in with my BeautyBlender.
Soap & Glory 'One Heck of a Blot' Powder - I am a massive fan of Soap & Glory makeup products and recently got back into their mattifying powder. This is an incredible powder to help mattify my skin and to also set my foundation and concealer in place. I just take some of the product on my brush and set my makeup with it.
Soap & Glory Solar Powder Bronzer - My favourite bronzer of all time is Benefit's Hoola, but I wanted to find a cheaper alternative and I have seen so many people say that the Solar Powder is incredible. This is probably my holy grail drugstore bronzer, but Hoola will still be my absolute favourite. I've been using a large brush with this and sweeping it over the top of my forehead, temples, defining my cheekbones and then just generally sweeping it over my cheeks to make me look more bronzed, which is perfect for the Summer.
Rimmel Sculpting Palette by Kate Moss - I don't often contour every day, but I will always wear blush and my new favourite is from the new sculpting palette from Rimmel and Kate Moss. I use the blush from the Coral Glow palette and it is the perfect shade for Summer and looks amazing with a tan. It is fairly pigmented so you have to be careful, but I just apply some of the blush to the apples of my cheek and blend it out to just give me a subtle glow. It just looks incredible if you are trying to achieve a natural look.
Soap & Glory 'Glow All Out' Luminizing Face Powder - I only recently bought this highlighter from Soap & Glory and I am absolutely in love with it. It just gives such a gorgeous highlight on my face and isn't too overpowering. I sweep this across my cheekbones, on my brow bone and sometimes in the inner corned of my eye.
Soap & Glory Archery Brow Tint and Precision Shaping Pencil - This is my favourite brow product from the drugstore, and I have been using this for the last few months. It is so easy to apply and makes my brows look really natural rather than being too overpowering. It comes with a felt tip end to help fill in the brows and then a precision shaping pencil which helps set the brows in place and to help them look fuller. This is an absolute must-have in any makeup bag.
L'Oreal Super Liner Ultra Precision Eyeliner - On days when I want a more natural look, I usually won't wear eyeliner, but on those days when I do want to wear eyeliner, this is my favourite to use. I just keep the eyeliner very close to my lash line to give me a more natural look.
Benefit 'They're Real' Mascara - This use to be one of my favourite mascaras and then I went off it for quite a bit. However, I was recently given a new 'They're Real' mascara and I decided to try it out again, and I have been wearing it everyday. It just makes me eyelashes look really natural and they don't clump together which I have found most other mascaras do.
Tanya Burr Cosmetics Lunch Date Lip Gloss - I have been a massive fan of Tanya Burr's lip glosses for some time, and I recently bought some new shades, and Lunch Date was one of them. This is my new favourite shade and is perfect for this look as it is a gorgeous nude/pink shade. Its not too pale that it will wash you out but is perfect with a tan. Also, the formula of these lip glosses are amazing and I love the scent of watermelon. Also, the finish is so moisturising and comfortable, and doesn't feel sticky at all.
I am in love with all of these products and are perfect for a natural, everyday look!!!
