MY GO-TO LUXURY CHRISTMAS PARTY MAKEUP - BLOGMAS DAY 6

Welcome to the 6th day of Blogmas, I cannot believe how we are only 19 days away from Christmas! I thought it was about time that I write a post on my go-to makeup when I am going to a Christmas party, carol service or just any event over the festive period. Today's beauty post will all be about the luxury makeup that I turn to over the festive period and I will have a drugstore go-to makeup post up at the weekend!

Everything in this makeup look is from a high-end brown, from Bobbi Brown, Marc Jacobs, Benefit and Tarte. However, I don't own many high-end concealers that I absolutely love so I decided to go with a drugstore concealer that is my absolute favourite and it only costs £4.19 from the brand Collection. This is my favourite concealer of all time and I know it is a fan favourite amongst Beauty YouTubers and bloggers! I have so much makeup in my collection and recently I have went on a shopping spree and bought a couple of new holiday pieces from Marc Jacobs and Bobbi Brown; which I have linked below as well, including a £76 eyeshadow palette from Marc Jacobs. I am planning on writing a post reviewing these new sets but only if they have not sold out in the meantime.

My festive makeup look is very similar to my makeup look throughout the year, but there are slight differences. I have two main makeup looks for the festive season, but the only difference between the two is the colour of the lipsticks that I wear; one is a bright holiday red shade and the other is a more nude/light mauve shade. I love the whole vintage Christmas glamour look with a subtle smokey eye but I also love to wear a more dramatic brown smokey eye with a gorgeous nude lip as well, and I think both looks will be amazing for everyone. I keep everything the same for both looks, except for the intensity and colour of the eyeshadows or the shade of the lipstick. Below I have linked all the products I will use and how I create that look!

Chanel LES BEIGES Health Glow Foundation
Marc Jacobs Style Eye-Con No. 20 Eyeshadow Gift Set
Tarte Amazon Clay Silk Eyeliner (from this collection)
Benefit They're Real Mascara
Yves Saint Laurent Babydoll Mascara
MAC Lip Pencil (Cherry)
MAC Charlotte Olympia Lipstick (Starlett Scarlett)
Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Colour Lip Shine (Intime)

Classic Vintage Christmas Glamour
This look is probably my most go-to look when it comes to Christmas parties, as I love a neutral smokey eye with a red lip. I love the Chanel Healthy Glow foundation and using the new limited edition Hourglass makeup palette to create a beautiful, and flattering glow to the face. I love a flawless finish to my skin, with fresh looking cheeks, a matte smokey eye (with a subtle eyeliner look, without a wing) and a classic vibrant holiday red lip. I don't usually wear a winged liner look because I feel like it does not suit me but a wing would look great with this eye look as well. I also love a matte smokey eye and the Marc Jacobs palette is amazing, but expensive. MAC and Charlotte Olympia released a collection of red lipsticks and my favourite is Leading Lady Red (but that is sold out) but Starlett Scarlett it also a beautiful shade and is still in stock, plus it is the perfect party red for Christmas. I also love to highlight and I am a massive fan of the gold shimmer brick from Bobbi Brown or the Strobe Powder from the Hourglass Surreal Light palette.

Classic Smokey Brown Eye with a Nude Lip
The other look that I love to wear over the festive period, is a brown smokey eye, with a mature of deep matte dark browns and shimmer bronze shades from the Marc Jacobs Style Ey-Con No.20 Eyeshadow Palette. I create this look all the time and think it is perfect for an evening meal with girlfriends, a date or for a festive party! I will keep the rest of my makeup the same, but I usually won't add any liner to my eyes. I absolutely love natural looking eyelashes and will use They're Real by Benefit on my top lashes and YSL's Babydoll on my lower lashes to create a natural look. I always like to pair a more intense smokey eye with a nude lip (as I don't think a dramatic eye paired with a bright lip shade looks good on me). My current favourite luxury lipstick is the Chanel Rouge Shine Lipstick in the shade Intime; which is a stunning nude/mauve shade and looks great with a more intense eye look. This is perfect for any Christmas party!
